A rushed wedding day feels...
Rushed.
Couples often tell me afterward,
"I wish we had just five more minutes together."
Those few extra minutes can make all the difference.
A thoughtful timeline allows time for:
✔ Relaxed portraits
✔ Family photos
✔ Candid moments
✔ Sunset portraits
✔ Private moments together
✔ Time to actually enjoy your guests
Without a plan, couples often feel like they're constantly being pulled in different directions.
My job is to help prevent that.
One thing that makes Vivid Memories by Gwen Photography different is that I don't simply show up on your wedding day with a camera and hope everything falls into place.
Every wedding I photograph begins weeks before your wedding day.
After you've booked, we'll schedule a planning consultation where we'll walk through your entire wedding day together.
We'll discuss:
✔ Your ceremony location
✔ Portrait locations
✔ Family photos
✔ Reception details
✔ Sunset timing
✔ Travel between venues
✔ Golden Hour portraits
✔ Any special traditions or moments that are important to you
Then I create a custom photography timeline designed specifically around your wedding, not a generic schedule copied from another wedding.
My goal is simple:
I want you to enjoy your wedding while I worry about the timeline.
There isn't a "perfect" timeline that works for every wedding.
Every couple is unique.
Every venue is different.
Every season changes the light.
A winter wedding in Palm Beach has a much earlier sunset than a summer wedding in Jupiter.
A beachfront ceremony requires different planning than a ballroom wedding in downtown West Palm Beach.
That's why I create a timeline that's customized specifically for your wedding.
One of the things my couples appreciate most is that they don't have to figure this out alone.
Before your wedding, I carefully plan your photography timeline around several important factors.
Everything begins with your ceremony.
From there, I work backward and forward to create a schedule that allows enough time for every important moment.
Every venue photographs differently.
Some have beautiful gardens.
Some have waterfront views.
Others have elegant architecture.
I look for the best portrait locations before your wedding day so we're making the most of everything your venue has to offer.
Lighting changes throughout the day.
The soft, warm glow just before sunset, often called Golden Hour—is one of the most beautiful times for portraits.
Whenever possible, I recommend scheduling couple portraits during this time because the light is flattering, romantic, and timeless.
Even just 15–20 minutes during Golden Hour can create some of the most breathtaking images in your entire gallery.
At Vivid Memories by Gwen Photography, I carefully plan your portrait schedule around the available light. Florida offers some of the most beautiful sunsets in the country, and by timing your portraits correctly, we can create those soft, glowing images that many couples dream about.
If your ceremony and reception are in different locations, we build travel time into the schedule.
This keeps the day relaxed and avoids unnecessary stress.
One of the things couples love most about working with Vivid Memories by Gwen Photography is that we organize family portraits before the wedding day.
Instead of trying to figure everything out after the ceremony, I create a detailed family portrait list that keeps everyone organized and allows us to move quickly.
That means less waiting...
Less stress...
And more time celebrating with your family and friends.
Every wedding is different, but here's an example of what a smooth wedding day might look like.
I begin by photographing all of the meaningful details you've spent months planning.
These detail images help tell the complete story of your day.
Some of the most emotional photographs happen during this time.
Hair and makeup finishing touches.
Parents seeing the bride.
Friends laughing together.
Champagne toasts.
Quiet moments before everything begins.
A First Look allows couples to share a private moment together before the ceremony.
Many couples tell me this becomes one of their favorite memories because it gives them a chance to slow down and simply be together.
It also allows us to complete many portraits before guests arrive, giving you more time to enjoy your cocktail hour later.
We photograph:
Keeping these fun and relaxed creates natural smiles rather than stiff poses.
Because we already created a family list together before the wedding, this portion moves quickly and efficiently.
Now it's time.
I capture every meaningful moment without interrupting your ceremony—from your walk down the aisle to the exchange of vows, the first kiss, and your joyful walk back up the aisle as newlyweds.
While your guests mingle, I photograph:
These images preserve all the thoughtful details you've spent months planning.
This is my favorite part of almost every wedding day.
We step away for about 15–20 minutes during sunset to create relaxed, romantic portraits in the most beautiful natural light of the day.
Couples often tell me these become their favorite photographs.
The celebration begins.
Throughout the evening, I capture:
The goal is to document your reception naturally while allowing you to stay fully present with the people you love.
Beautiful wedding photography starts with thoughtful preparation.
When you choose Vivid Memories by Gwen Photography, you're not simply hiring someone to document your wedding.
You're choosing someone who becomes part of your planning team.
Long before your wedding day, I help every couple by:
✔ Creating a completely customized photography timeline
✔ Visiting or researching your venue beforehand
✔ Planning around the best lighting throughout the day
✔ Identifying portrait locations
✔ Organizing family photographs
✔ Working alongside your planner and vendors
✔ Building extra time into the schedule so your day never feels rushed
✔ Walking through the timeline together before the wedding so you know exactly what to expect
My couples often tell me how much more relaxed they felt knowing every photography detail had already been planned.
That's exactly how I want you to feel.
Florida weddings come with a few unique considerations:
Planning around these local factors helps your day flow smoothly while creating the best possible images.
Several weeks before your wedding, we'll schedule time to go over your entire day. We'll discuss your venue, ceremony, family photos, sunset timing, and any special moments that are important to you.
That's wonderful! I work alongside planners all the time. I'll review the schedule and suggest any photography adjustments that can improve lighting, reduce stress, or create a smoother flow.
Every wedding is different, but I generally recommend allowing enough time for couple portraits, wedding party photos, and family portraits without making you feel rushed. We'll decide together what works best for your day.
The best wedding photographs happen when you're able to relax, be present, and soak in every moment.
That's why I believe my role begins long before your wedding day. From creating a personalized photography timeline to guiding you through the schedule step by step, my goal is to make sure your experience feels effortless and enjoyable.
If you're planning a wedding in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Wellington, or anywhere in South Florida, I'd love to help you create a timeline that allows you to enjoy every moment while capturing timeless photographs you'll treasure for a lifetime.
